Entrepreneurship Development Cell's Features
1.For the benefit of S&T people, arrange Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Entrepreneurship Development Programs, and Faculty Development Programs in the region.
2.Develop and implement entrepreneurship development curriculum at multiple levels, including degree/diploma courses at the parent university and other regional institutes.
3.To conduct research and surveys in order to uncover business prospects (particularly in S&T areas and Service sector).
4.To advise and assist prospective entrepreneurs on a variety of topics, including writing project reports, obtaining project approvals, obtaining funds and facilities from support organisations, and learning about various technologies.
5.To host guest lectures, TV and radio interviews, seminars, and other events to promote and strengthen S& T-based enterprise.
6.To arrange for prospective entrepreneurs to tour various industries.
7.To provide trainees with the essential supervision and escort services in obtaining approval and carrying out their projects.
8.Create and manage relevant databases to serve as a Regional Information Center on business opportunities, processes, technology, markets, and other topics.
9.Testing, calibration, quality assurance, design, tool room, pilot plant, and other facilities for entrepreneurs, as well as knowledge in Intellectual Property rights, patent searches, and other areas.
10.To provide guidance to failing businesses and to aid their owners in rehabilitating them.
11.Conduct skill development training programmes that lead to self-employment or pay work.
12.To serve as an institutional vehicle for offering a variety of services, such as information to aspiring student entrepreneurs.
13.To instil an entrepreneurial culture in the Parent Institution and other institutions in the region, as well as to promote NSTEDB's goals, which include programmes for women and the underserved.
14.To strengthen ties between the region's parent institution, industries, and research and development institutions, as well as other associated organisations working to promote SMEs, such as NGOs and other non-profits.
15.To catalyse and encourage the development of S&T-based businesses, as well as job possibilities.
16.To successfully respond to rising SMEs and Micro Enterprises issues and opportunities on a national and worldwide level.
